With the NSPCC reporting that 1 in 3 internet users are children and 1 in 3 of those children have been a victim of cyberbullying, discussion on internet safety and child welfare is becoming increasingly widespread. Estelle and Douglas Lloyd, who witnessed their own children stumbling into age-inappropriate material while searching for a nursery rhyme, responded by developing an app through which children could explore and enjoy the internet and parents could trust that their children were being safeguarded against harmful material.
Most Mums and Dads agree that tablets provide a great distraction to children who might otherwise be restless or bored. Azoomee, a downloadable app available across all mobile and tablet devices stores hundreds of hours of great TV shows, films, digital books and games. The app is entirely free from advertising and a PIN lock ensures that children can’t leave the app and stumble out into adult centred material. The app is available for one simple monthly or annual subscription fee which can be split into five separate children’s accounts and every subscription generates a donation to the NSPCC.
Lottie & Azoomee Team Up!
Last year, Lottie and Azoome teamed up to create another exciting addition to the app – the Lottie Outfit Design game. The game which allows players to dress Lottie and friends up in different outfits proved hugely popular with Azoome and Lottie fans alike! The game was listed among Azoomee’s top 5 for returning players.
"We were thrilled to bring the Lottie Dolls to life on Azoomee. The Lottie Outfit Design game was in the top 10 most played games last year, particularly impressive given that the game only released in August. Lottie's mission to empower children to be themselves, to be imaginative and adventurous and – most of all - to have fun - is a vision Azoomee shares wholeheartedly and we are are delighted to have partnered with Arklu to bring the fun of the dolls to a new platform."
