On September 18th, 146 member organisations will gather in India for the 36th WAGGGs World Conference, as hosted by the Bharat Scouts & Guides.
The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts is the largest voluntary Movement dedicated to girls and young women in the world. The WAGGGs represents 10 million girls and young women from 146 countries!
"For more than 100 years Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting has transformed the lives of girls and young women worldwide, supporting and empowering them to achieve their fullest potential and become responsible citizens of the world."
The World Conference meets every 3-years, and is the principal decision-making body of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. This years theme is 'For Her World'. The conference aims are to learn from other delegations, share ideas, and connect to work on shared challenges.
Each member organisation can send a maximum of two delegates, and the WAGGGs encourage their organisations to send young people to represent their interests at the conference.
"WAGGGS puts the needs of girls and young women at the heart of all its activities. To ensure that young women are an integral part of this key event, we encourage all our Member Organisations to include at least one young woman aged under 30 in their delegation. The last World Conference in 2014 was attended by 98 young women and we would like to increase this number for 2017."
Lottie Dolls partnered with the WAGGGs to create and amazing line of Brownie Dolls, accessories and playsets, including our Brownie Camfire and Canoe Adventure sets! WAGGGS empowers girls and young women to become leaders and to support their communities, which reflects Lottie’s positive values, inclusive view on childhood and aligns perfectly with our mission to empower children to actively explore STEM activities and pursue their dreams.
Lottie empowers children to be themselves, and to dream big - one doll at a time! Brownie Lottie will encourage children to be imaginative, adventurous and most of all to have fun.
The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts’ clear vision that, “All girls are valued and can take action to change the world” makes this partnership a perfect fit!
